A whole new section, with a new design has been added to the site: an archive of the first reenactment: The Promised Land, which took place at the ICA on may 26. This reenactment outlined some of the fundamental tenets of the Peoples Temple theology. Through a sermon given by Jones, who was played by actor Graeme Edler (See photo above), and the reconstruction of a 'miracle healing' performed by Jones.

The words we used in the reenactment were words that had been spoken by Jones and Temple members over 25 years ago. The script has also been added to the site - along with notes on it's source, and other relevant information.

Collaborators who tool part in the reenactment were:

Nick Barber
Claire Bell
Rod Dickinson
Graeme Edler
Jacqueline Ferrera
Vivienne Gaskin
Alison Gill
Chiara Menage
Andy Nyman
Nico Pollen
Steve Rushton
Jo Thorpe

This first reenactment was surrounded by controversy drummed up by that ever reductive institution; the british media, who were intent on misunderstanding our motives.
Some of their surreal commentary can be found on the Sunday Times site.
